About the Position: This position is located in the Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, Washington. Tacoma is a diverse city nestled between Seattle and the state capital of Olympia. This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights-based return rights based on an overseas tour. This is a temporary appointment not-to-exceed 3 years. Term appointments may be extended up to up to 6 years.
About the Position: The Incumbent serves as the Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) for Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and its geographic area of responsibility. Performs counseling, data collection, medical coordination, and procedural work related to Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) processing and Temporary Disability Retired List (TDRL) reevaluations. The Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides direct detainee care, including evaluations, minor procedures, and medication prescriptions. Coordinates referrals, ensures policy compliance, and mentors APPs. Requires licensure and certification. The incumbent reports directly to the Supervisory APP.
