This position is located within the Health Information Management (HIM) section at Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans' Hospital. The Supervisory MRT (ROI) is responsible for reviewing and processing requests for patient-protected health information (PHI). In this role, the Supervisory MRT (ROI) delivers direct customer service by providing copies of a Veteran's PHI to the Veteran or an authorized third party, upon receipt of a signed, written request or valid authorization.
This position serves as the Executive Assistant to the Medical Center Associate Director. The primary responsibility of the position is to support the Associate Director & other members of senior leadership including the Medical Center Director, Assistant Director, Associate Director for Patient Care Services, Chief of Staff, the Deputy Chief of Staff, and the Deputy Nurse Executive in the day-to-day operations of the Associate Director and any related Network activities.
Provides advanced medication management for oncology and hematology patients in inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth settings. Oversees chemotherapy and biologic therapy planning, monitoring, and toxicity management. Offers pharmacokinetic consultations, educates patients and healthcare staff, supports research and residency training, ensures formulary compliance, and serves as a liaison between pharmacy, nursing, and oncology teams to optimize cancer care.
Cardiac Catheterization Lab Techs work with physicians to complete both diagnostic & interventional invasive cardiac procedures including: LHC, RHC, PTCAs, Stent placement, IABP, IVUS, pressure wires, pericardiocentesis, temporary pacemakers, radial artery, peripheral, electrophysiology studies, implantable device placements, AICD placement. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. The Physician Assistant will be selected to provide daily support for the activities of an established outpatient clinic in SCI/D center, the emerging Telehealth Program, expanding Home Health program and potentially to support on-going research projects for a major SCI/D treatment center. Based on interest and skillset of incumbent and service needs, cross coverage for SCI/D inpatient unit may also be a part of the responsibilities. Ongoing collaboration with physicians, and nursing staff.
The supervisory TMP performs the most complex tasks and oversees TMPs and dosimetrists, ensuring radiation safety, accurate dosimetry, proper radiation measurement, treatment planning oversight, dose verification, procedure improvement, image quality monitoring, quality assurance, support for optimizing radiation use, and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Serves as a Therapeutic Medical Physicist in Radiation Oncology, ensuring safe and accurate delivery of radiation therapy. Performs treatment planning support, quality assurance, and dose verification. GS-12 works under supervision developing proficiency, while GS-13 independently manages complex treatments, leads QA programs, and provides expert consultation on advanced techniques and technologies.
